ABOUT ME
Simoné Sanders
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist-Associate
Supervised by
Jamie Porter, LMFT-S,LPC-S
Hello my name is Simoné Sanders, and I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist-Associate here in Texas. It brings me joy to work alongside people who are on a journey towards healing and understanding. You are the expert in your life, and together we work to find the skills you already have to reach the goals you set during our time together. I like to use a multicultural framework because I believe both culture and society are factors that influence who we are. Although this is a professional relationship, when it comes to my style of therapy I like to make it feel like you're talking to a friend. I know I am most comfortable when talking with my friends because I can talk freely and uncensored, and I work to create an environment that feels comfortable and non-judgmental.

MAIN AREAS OF EXPERTISE
RELATIONSHIPS
Whether it be familial or romantic, conflict in relationships can cause turmoil. Together, we work to understand the issues and come to a conclusion about what next steps may be.
LGBTQIA+/SOGI
From the very beginning of my therapist journey, LGBTQIA+ clients have always been a population I work with. From relationships to navigating through gender identity, we work together to find peace and clarity in life.
BIPOC
As a black woman, I can relate to a lot of issues BIPOC deal with, and love being able to bring a level of comfort as we talk about these issues. Through your worldview, we figure out how to navigate through these different issues to increase your quality of life.
TRAUMA
Trauma presents itself in many ways, and can be exhausting to work through. With that understanding, I like to work at a slower pace as we process through the things that have happened in your life.

“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” - Carl Rogers
